What can I do to extend the life of my equipment?
Help us protect your heating and cooling investment from costly repairs. Check your filter every month and change it if it is dirty. This is simply the best thing that you can do to take care of your system.  Keep mulch, leaves and other debris away from your outside unit. If you can, inspect your duct work periodically because airflow problems can reduce your system's efficiency.  Extend the life of your system by having it serviced annually as is recommended by the manufacturer.

My unit won’t come on. What’s wrong?

  1. Check your electrical panel and if the breaker is tripped, turn it back on. If the breaker trips again, it is important to call your Air Con service technician.
  2. Check for water in the condensate drain pan. You may have a switch that turns your system off when the pan is full.
  3. Check your thermostat to make sure it is in the proper mode for heating or cooling and that the temperature setting is such that it will bring on the unit.
  4. Check for a re-set button. Your system may require you to manually press a re-set button at the condenser.

What should I expect when an Air Con service technician comes to my home?
Your service technician will be driving a well marked company truck and will identify himself before entering your home.  He will have information regarding your call but will want you to explain the problem you are having with your system.  The cost of the service call, including all repairs, will be made clear to you.  You will receive a detailed account of all work done on your system and recommendations, if any, that may need to be done to extend the life of your system.

Why is it important to have an annual maintenance check on my system?
You have invested a lot of money in the installation of your HVAC system. Maintenance checks are recommended by all equipment manufacturers and you want your system to be kept at peak performance ensuring home comfort and energy efficiency. A routine maintenance check is a preventative action against dirty coils, dirty filters, low refrigerant charge, and air flow issues, which all cause system failure.
